Georgian townhouse, Connaught Square, Westminster, London W2 |

This wonderful old property was all done in period colours, using Farrow & Ball Estate Emulsion. We did the whole house and the basement flat and I have to say the result was amazing. As you can see from the photographs, the period colours really worked in such an environment. Usually, where there is a dado rail, I would advise the client to have the darker colour underneath on the smaller wall sections and the lighter tones above. This is because otherwise it can really bring the walls in and make the rooms appear smaller. However, on this occasion we were able to have the stronger colour on top because of the size of rooms and ceiling heights. |
"From time to time a job comes along that really makes me appreciate why I enjoy decorating so much and this was certainly one of those." |
